Job Description
Our client, a Fortune 500 company in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is looking to add a talented and creative copywriter to their team immediately. In order to be successful, the copywriter will create and oversee marketing copy and brand strategy as it pertains to messaging — guiding and crafting clear and compelling messaging that demands attention, creates desire and compels action. The Copywriter will inject a shot of energy into their office from the moment they walk through the door while helping build emotionally rich relationships with the team through relevant communications. Top-tier talent, relentless work ethic, unbridled enthusiasm and never-ending ability to bring concepts to life are all must-haves for this unique individual. This is an ongoing freelance opportunity, that is 40 hours weekly. This opportunity is hybrid, 3-days onsite in the Fort Lauderdale area.
Responsibilities:- Write, customize and edit content within the conversion funnel to target specific consumers in the US, UK, and AUS markets.
- Strategize narrative and branding approaches for messaging across all external channels and internal communications.
- Write, edit, and proofread copy for campaigns, digital, email, banner ads, social media, direct mail, print collateral, displays, special projects, and other forms of media. (emphasis in social media content).
- Work in partnership with art directors, designers, writers, key stakeholders — finding innovative and fresh new ways to tell the brands story and convey value propositions.
- Drive brand consistency through ongoing implementation of brand guidelines for copy.
- Deliver all strategy and writing in clearly formatted and organized copy documents with an introduction to the assignment, messaging strategy, target audience and communications goal.
- Develop copy to bring to life the brand voice while following guidelines through the development and implementation.
- Collaborate with both internal creatives and external agencies to support projects.
Required Qualifications:- 5-7 years of copywriting, strategy, and editorial experience in an advertising or marketing role.
- 4+ years of copywriting experience writing for 360 campaigns as well as short and long form copywriting for campaigns, digital, social media, and print work within a fast-paced environment.
- Focus on writing short form copy with clever, cheeky writing style.
- Creative thinker who is conceptual and can come up with campaign ideas but also roll up sleeves and get work done.
- A well-rounded portfolio that showcases an on-brand aesthetic that lends well to a range of audiences including 360 campaigns, broadcast/TV, digital, and print work.
- Knowledge of Airtable (or similar content management tools) and/or JIRA a plus.
- Ability to work onsite 3 days a week in the Fort Lauderdale area.
