Department: Security
Description: Rockcastle Regional is currently seeking a full-time Security Officer for our Security Department. Schedules available include Monday thru Thursday (12pm to 10 pm), or Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights (8 am to 8 pm). Under the supervision of the Director of Security, the Security Officer is responsible to patrol all assigned areas of the facility. The Officer must respond to all calls/Emergency codes immediately, following protocol that has been established in existing policy; and enforce facility rules and regulations as directed. Officers will do investigations and inform managers of results. The Security Officers will also inform the Director of Security about safety issues and ensure the functioning of radios, vehicles and Life Safety Equipment; and assist our customers and other duties as assigned. Skills required, but not limited to, include: ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors; ability to operate a computer and security software; ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public; effective oral and written communication skills; active listening skills; ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively; ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately; attention to detail; and must meet physical fitness requirements. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must possess valid KY state driver's license and be a minimum of 21 years of age. Preferred security/police/military background.
