What You'll Do
New Business and Partner Acquisition: Lead efforts in prospecting, qualifying, and negotiating contracts with new partners. Identify target clients and market segments that align with our platform's offerings.
Partnership Development: Build and execute new partnerships from the ground up, including contract negotiation and proposal evaluation. You'll be the driving force behind establishing and nurturing these relationships.
Sales & Product Training: Oversee the onboarding of new partners, ensuring they are well-versed in our products and services through effective training sessions.
Ongoing Partner Management: Manage the partner pipeline, providing accurate weekly reports and maintaining strong relationships with existing partners. This includes visiting partners, customers, and prospects as necessary, and representing us at local events and exhibitions.
Achieving Success: Meet or exceed revenue targets, ensuring that our partnerships are successful and mutually beneficial.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate business terms and dissect contracts with strategic technology partners. Coordinate with various teams, including administration, marketing, and legal, to finalize agreements.
Product Development: Work closely with product teams to identify and build solutions that meet the needs of our clients and their customers, driving adoption of API features.
Regular Reviews: Conduct regular reviews with senior leadership to present and promote partnerships, ensuring resources are allocated to ensure their success.
What You'll Need
Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree required.
Experience: A minimum of 4 years in a Business Development or Head of Sales role, with prior experience working in Africa.
Sales Expertise: Proven experience in the full-cycle B2B sales process, including onboarding, integration, and partnership management.
Project Management: Experience in project management is a plus.
Closing Skills: Strong ability to close deals and drive results.
Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of the FinTech/Cryptocurrency space and a solid grasp of B2B sales disciplines.
Technical Savvy: Experience selling API solutions and partnering with product teams to promote adoption.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to combine industry knowledge with strategic thinking and a customer-focused approach to improve business performance.
Transparency: Comfortable working in a transparent, no-politics environment where tough decisions are made swiftly.
