Our client specializes in engineering and fabrication of rig systems, wellbore technologies and completion and production solutions.

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Painter for it's manufacturing facility in Conroe, Texas. This position is responsible for applying primer and paint using spray guns and loading equipment onto racks using a forklift.

Job Description

• Move/load equipment on racks using a forklift
• Wash down equipment before painting
• Mask off areas not to be painted and unmask painted equipment
• Read and understand customer paint requirements
• Apply primer and paint using spray guns in a high quality manner to meet specifications
• Apply tags per engineering requirements
• Keep paint booth filters clean
• Maintain clean and orderly work area
• Communicate problems to supervisor when they arise
• Wear all required PPE
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to Client safety policies and procedures
• Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Work as a team player with others in a demanding fast-paced environment to meet frequently changing production
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned

Skills Required

• Five (5) + years of spray painting experience at an automotive quality level
• Must be able to pass a respirator fit test and be able to wear a respirator for extended lengths of time
• Must have knowledge on how to set up paint guns
• Be able to mix paint and primer to required specifications
• Basic computer skills for time entry and document lookup
• Strong attention to detail

Top Skills Required:

• Industrial or automotive painting experience (house painters will not qualify)
• Able to work around chemicals
• Able to wear required PPE including face masks for extended periods
• Able to drive forklifts

Education/Training/Certifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Additional Requirements

• Work Hours:
  • Varies, but in general will be 6:00am to 4:30pm and some Saturdays 5:00am to 1:00pm
  • OVERTIME: varies from none to 16 hours

Pay Rate/Salary

• Starting $23.37 - $27.55/hr depending on experience. Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skill set and/or location.
