At Augmentjobs, we are seeking a proactive and experienced Business Continuity Manager to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring our organization's resilience and ability to respond to unexpected disruptions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, crisis management, and business continuity planning.
Key Responsibilities:Develop and Maintain Business Continuity Plans:
Create, implement, and maintain comprehensive business continuity plans (BCPs) for all critical business functions.
Conduct regular reviews and updates to BCPs to ensure they remain current and effective.
Risk Assessment and Management:
Identify potential risks and threats that could impact business operations.
Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
Crisis Management:
Develop and implement crisis management protocols.
Coordinate crisis response activities and serve as the primary point of contact during incidents.
Training and Awareness:
Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate staff on business continuity and disaster recovery procedures.
Promote a culture of resilience and preparedness across the organization.
Testing and Drills:
Plan and execute regular business continuity tests and drills to ensure readiness.
Evaluate the effectiveness of tests and drills, and implement improvements based on findings.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work closely with various departments to ensure business continuity plans are integrated and aligned with overall business objectives.
Liaise with external partners, vendors, and government agencies as needed.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed documentation of business continuity plans, risk assessments, and incident reports.
Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of business continuity efforts.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices related to business continuity and disaster recovery.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
Experience:
2-5 years of experience in business continuity, risk management, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery principles.
Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and tools.
Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 22301).
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Leadership and project management abilities.
Certifications:
Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar certification is preferred.
